Floyd shouldn't have any belts at 154. Especially if he's not defending them. Them belts should go to the actual boxers that put in work at the weight.
Is the WBO in Arums pocket? why did they strip floyd so fast

If Mayweather didn't pay the sanctioning fee did he even officially win the title? I'd assume if you don't pay the 3% or w/e sanctioning fee the belt wasn't up for grabs at the end of the day.
That said eff the alphabet groups titles & their 6+ champions per division bs.Comment

Belts collect dust
To be The Man, you have to beat The Man
Vargas and Bradley can fight for the cheap WBO leftovers
Like trowing a bone to the dogs. Let them fight over it
The green belt is the Belt of real Champions (except Cotto)Comment

The wbo belt is the least prestigious but I don't ever remember someone being stripped after a month
I just think its bs Vargas n Bradley are fighting for it when others guys haven't had a shot...I know Bradley had it a lil while but let's be honest, he didn't deserve it the win at the time nor does unranked Vargas deserve it
Soon as I stop calling it WBOgus they do something bogus
Guys I'd have rather seen Thurman vs Bradley...or porter, brook, maidana Even guerrero, Diego chaves top 15 welters like bundu evenComment

I thought that was only within your own weight class?According to WBO rules, if you hold a title- ANY TITLE, at a different weight class, you have 10 days to decide which title you wish to keep. In Floyd's case he would have to vacate all his 154 titles to hold on to the WBO strap. Floyd has had considerably more than 10 days to make his decision not to mention that he stated his intention to vacate the titles after the Pac fight. There is no blame for anyone here, just an organization applying it's rules.
That is a very rare thing to see, especially when Floyd is concerned, so it's understandable that people are confused.
Algieri got stripped for just fighting for a title above his own.
Then you look at Huck/Povetkin and Huck got to keep up after challenging a weight above, although a diferent organiztionComment

There is another thread around here with the WBO regulations posted in it. One of their articles states that a WBO champion cannot hold any other title at a different weight class at the same time as a WBO title. The champion is given 10 days to decide whether he wishes to keep the WBO title or the title at the other weight class, even if it is also a WBO title.
There is no rule against holding any title in the same division as the WBO title. If there was, it would be impossible to become an undisputed champion.Comment
