Comments Thread For: Drained Geale Confident He'll Regain Strength For Cotto

NEW YORK – Daniel Geale struggled to get down to 157 pounds Friday afternoon.

It’s the lowest weight he has had to reach since the former IBF middleweight champion competed in a junior middleweight bout eight years ago. But by the time Geale gets in the ring Saturday night for his WBC middleweight title fight against champion Miguel Cotto at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the Australian contender will have had nearly 34 hours to regain his strength.

So Geale has "done it many times before" when he spoke about draining himself and then getting fluid back in your system.

Maybe that poster was right that if he was "struggling" to make 160 might as well fight at 168

          Media Bias

Oh poor Geale, he's weight drained, aww I feel so bad .......NOT!!

A very fine example of media bias, where were the articles right before a weight drained Cotto stepped into the ring with a Paquiao?

Or a weight drained Oscar Del Hoya stepped into the ring with Paquiao?

catch weights are common place, why complain about it now when it comes to Cotto? why?

Troll Article Exhibit A. I imagine this is a back door way to drum more interest for this fight, smh, Deceit is common place in Sports.

3 Pounds!!!!! This is just trying to build up a fight that should not be on anyone's radar. If Geale has such problem coming in under the WM limit of 160 by 3 pounds could that be an indication he is not a NATURAL middleweight? All these guys fight one or two divisions under their natural in shape weight. He is going to be like 170 on fight night. Boo whoo what a problem... the recovery from 157 for him should any more difficult than from 3 pounds north at 160

By the way Geale normally comes in at 158 and change to just over 159 so he must of just killed himself to make 157... stop making me laugh!
