Manchester star Terry Flanagan knows that the pressure is on for him to win the WBO World Lightweight title in his home city, but believes he can overcome knockout master Jose Zepeda to make boxing history.
Undefeated Flanagan gets his dream shot on Saturday 11th July in his backyard at the Manchester Velodrome (National Cycling Centre) as he aims to become the first English boxer in history to win a world title at 135lbs.
Only Welsh legend Freddie Welsh and Scottish greats Ken Buchanan, Jim Watt and Ricky Burns have held world titles at lightweight from Great Britain and with Kevin Mitchell failing in his attempt last Saturday night, Flanagan aims to make his dream reality.
