Comments Thread For: Carl Froch: Khan Wasn't Great, Brook Will Beat Him

Super middleweight contender Carl Froch is picking IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook to defeat Amir Khan if the two domestic rivals ever reach an agreement to step in the ring against each other.

Khan returned on Friday night, winning a tougher than expected twelve round unanimous decision over Chris Algieri at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Brook came back on Saturday night in London, easily stopping amateur champion Frankie Gavin in six rounds.

I would be amazed if Brook did not beat Khan and beat him with style. Amazed.

Who wouldn't , Khan has only just sc****d by a hand picked opponent a career light welter who had been on the floor no fewer than NINE times in two fights.I would like to see Brook move on and fight the divisions elite as obviously Khan's not

Provo has a lot of power and Pac obviously does too. The main thing is, he didn't get stopped. Algieri is better than people think.

Plus he had trouble making 144 VS Pac hence a 2nd try at the scales. After seeing how big he is, I suspect that he was weight drained. 144 was what Pac's team wanted BTW, not higher.

There will always be fights that trouble you, we only need to look at Brook VS Carson Jones he lost 9 times...

i liked the way brook looked against gavin and others. but still need to see him fight an 'A' level.
          i agree with froch.
i felt khan sort of wimped out against algieri.

Do you think Khan would beat Porter?

So in essence your'e saying that the Khan camp are hunting out opponents that are much better than the fans realise , I know the khan's work it the other way !
And Brook has moved on so much since the first Carson fight as you must know and Khan is still being shouted at in the corner to do basic things.....Pls listen to what advise Hunter is giving him , it doesn't get any more basic than that !
Simply , Khan will be blown away at welter by the first real challenge .

Brook is simply a level above.

He will outbox Khan before knocking him out. Khan knows it himself, he wants no part of Brook.

Did Froch fight at Wembley in front of 80,000 people? I wonder how that escaped me...
