Comments Thread For: Khan: I'll Have More Fans in New York Than Algieri

Amir Khan expects to have more fans come out to support him at tonight at the Barclays Center than the hometown kid Chris Algieri when they face off in the Spike TV headliner to Premier Boxing Champions.

Khan’s wife is originally from Staten Island and Khan is one of the sport’s more popular fighters, no matter where he fights. Algieri is from Huntington, LI but that didn't stop Khan from claiming he'll be the more popular fighter in Brooklyn on Friday.

Based on the weigh-in, there will be about 50 people in attendance and half of them will be Khan's family members.

Thats just more crying fans to watch Khan get sparked early. Then they can stop pretending Khans a top fighter.

As most of Khan's fans drive a mini cab in Northern England for a living it is unlikely they will be in attendance at 10pm NY time.

After they finish work in the early AM hours they must then pursue some errrrr 'extra curricular grooming' of underage girls.

Followed by morning prayers of course.

Almost nothing could bring me greater joy than seeing Algieri knock Khan out. Realistically though Khan wins by uneventful UD and then he'll be talking Mayweather this and Mayweather that.
