Frankie Gavin says seeing former amateur team-mate James DeGale win a world title last weekend has cemented his belief he can take Kell Brook's IBF welterweight crown on Saturday night.
Gavin steps in against the undefeated Brook at the London O2 Arena - live on Sky Sports Box Office - on a night that also sees Kevin Mitchell and Lee Selby fight for world titles along with a heavyweight showdown between Anthony Joshua and Kevin Johnson.
Former Olympic champion DeGale defeated Andre Dirrell on points in Boston to become IBF super-middleweight champion on Saturday night and Gavin, who is Britain's only ever world amateur champion, is hoping to emulate the Londoner.
The 29-year-old said: "James DeGale did it at the weekend and he was in the same Olympic squad as me so that's given me big belief that I can do it as well.
