Nathan Cleverly returns to action at Light Heavyweight on Saturday night – with the Welshman looking to get back on the World title trail at The O2, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Cleverly is back down to 175lbs after tackling bitter rival Tony Bellew up at Cruiserweight in November, and the former World champion is eyeing a clash with Juergen Brahmer in the autumn.

The 28 year old held the WBO World Light Heavyweight crown for three years and will be looking to rip the WBA belt from the German who defended it for the fourth time in March against their common foe Robin Krasniqi.

Easy fight for Brähmer. The WBA should organize the fight between Kovalev and Brähmer as they did with Froch and Ward.

He was ran out of the 175 division, then went into the 190 division, then ran out of the 190 division to the 175 division again. He is pretty much done at the top level. No power and his workrate has slowed and nothing else to compensate. Cant see a future for him with those deficiencies.

Cleverly should change his name to Sisyphus.

Why all the haters? Who can blame him for trying cruiserweight after getting destroyed by Kovalev? He is a tall light heavyweight so lord knows how he boils himself down to 175lbs. I wish him well, he should win the WBA belt then challenge Kovalev again lol.

He's tall but no way he is a cruiser. He's a very average LHW with reasonable skills behind the jab but no power. Not world level.

Brahmer would never fight Kovalev, no matter how much money was offered. Dude begged off of a fight with the incredibly overrated Shumenov claiming a belly ache. Sauerland would never, ever let their gravy train in the ring with Kovalev

He'll be fine if he stays at the domestic level.

You mean why do we question him taking all that freakish power to 190??? The dude cannot swat a fly at 175 so what the hell is he going to do at 190 to discourage anyone from just pounding on him all night? Counter with baby taps?

Clev looks like the Tin Man from OZ

Clev should just ask Kovalev for a rematch and end all doubt. All Clev is -is a coat hanger shouldered rail thin wisp of a soft wales woosie.
