Former two division world champion Paulie Malignaggi (33-6, 7KOs) was scheduled to return to action this coming Friday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn against Danny O'Connor as the Premier Boxing Champions televised co-feature to Amir Khan vs. Chris Algieri.

Malignaggi, inactive since last April's knockout loss to Shawn Porter, suffered a cut in training and was forced to withdraw.

"I probably can’t spar for 30-45 days, then I have some bone spurs in my elbow, so while I’m out, I’m going to get some surgery and get that taken care of as well, and then try to come back in the fall," Malignaggi told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.

yea, but u praise thurman's win i'm sure...please tell me in wat fight did algieri or gavin bust somebody up? bc i recall the berto fight....guerrero jumped from 135 right to 147 to win a belt..i bet u algier cant go from 140 to 154 and get a belt vs k9 today lol...aydin, casamayor, berto..algieri beats neither at the time ghost fought them..and i wont even speak of gavin...u lost this argument 118-110

I never understand why people are blown away by a man who's 5'8 jumping to 147 as if that's some great accomplishment. That's where he should be fighting. 5'8 and 135 is crackhead weight.
