  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Froch vs. Golovkin is 50-50 To Happen

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport is not convinced that Carl Froch (33-2, 24KOs) will fight again, but he's also not convinced that he won't.

Much of that talk all week has been a potential fight between Froch and WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs).

"Froch-Golovkin is huge. As a fight fan, I love that fight....[but] as Carl's friend...... But he likes that fight because he's sick in the head," Hearn told BoxingScene.com.

Hope after Froch's announcement the fight is 100-0 to happen. It's exciting to see that match.

Age advantage to Golovkin weight advantage to Froch, would be one to watch but most surely Froch with his size would be favorite as non of the super middles have been able to shift him and G. can make light middle but big credit to G. for wanting this fight , it's just a pitty other fighters like Khan will not go in with anyone with a remote chance of beating them but still want all the credit !!

Kind of don't want to see this... it'd be a shame to see Gennady Gonad Golovkin lose his winning streak by going up too high because people his own weight won't fight him.

He's good, but there's weight divisions for a reason.

                    Froch is Over-Rated

Beating Abraham big deal. nearly got totally knocked out by mild heating Jermaine Taylor and would have lost if Taylor was in better shape, I thought he lost both fights with Kessler, he struggled with Groves, and Ward schooled him. GGG with his skill level and great ringmanship along with his punching power and eminence intensity and add Froch's age. I honestly believe GGG will knock him Froch out within 6 rounds. Comparing GGG with Abraham is like comparing Ali with Cleveland Williams.
