In the televised opener, 22-year old Jr. Lightweight Adrian Young (22-1, 18 KO) of Los Mochia, Sinaloa, Mexico, held off a spirited effort from an inexperienced foe, rallying from a bruising ninth to score a stoppage in the closing seconds of the tenth and final round over Marco Antonio Juarez (8-4-1, 3 KO) of Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico. The referee was Julio Cesar Mariscal.
