World Boxing Council President Mauricio Suilaiman is mediating the title situation in the middleweight division.

WBC champion Miguel Cotto will defend his title against Daniel Geale on June 6th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

If Cotto wins that fight, he will have to defend against mandatory challenger Gennady Golovkin, who holds the WBA/IBO titles and the WBC interim-belt.

But Cotto's handlers are instead hoping to face Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in the fall.

Golovkin should just hold his ground and tell em he wants to fight for that strap ASAP, i genuinely want to see if he can get all the belts at 160. Cotto-Canelo is just as big without the title..its a big money fight. If GGG takes the step aside deal, he'll never get a shot. Look how dirty they did Maravilla.
