Comments Thread For: Diplomatic De La Hoya Declines To Discredit May-Pac

In the wake of the sensational and explosive Canelo-Kirkland affair, promoter Oscar De La Hoya resisted the temptation to gloat about his symbolic triumph over last weekend's dud that was (over)hyped as Fight of the Century. He already did and looked like a tool. Now that his top dog destroyed a 2 year inactive, no trainer, glass chinned fighter hes taking the high road?

That was a gross mismatch. The hypocrisy is strong in boxing. That was on the same level of Garcia-Salka. That would be like Mayweather fighting Shane Mosley in September.

Why are none of the fans not berating Oscar and Canelo about a GGG fight?? They both on hbo should be fairly easy to make.

It is a Ignorant thing to do and it ruffles the wrong feathers in the Boxing World. He made himself look bad on twitter, he looked so bitter and jealous

Instead "Oh This Was A Real Fight Not Mayweather vs Pacquiao" instead the approach should be "Hey Casual Fans It Is More Fighters Than Just Mayweather And Pacquiao"

Boxing is like ****..Find Your Fetish, Find What You Like! You want KO's see GGG, Wilder, Kovalev, you want Strategy and Masters Of Their Art see Mayweather, Rigondeaux, you want guys who shows up just to fight win or lose then watch Ruslan, Maidana (when in shape lol) and Matthysse.

It is something for EVERYBODY IN BOXING! Trying to divide fans and trying to force them to pick side is BAD FOR BUSINESS for EVERYBODY! As a Boxing fan, I support it ALL!
