Micki Nielsen has been named ‘Fighter of the Year’ by the Danish Professional Boxing Federation (DPBF). At a ceremony today in Copenhagen, the cruiserweight talent received the award along with a selection of gifts and a charitable donation of 3,000 Danish kroners to the Børnecancer Fonden (Children’s Cancer Foundation).
‘’Last year my brother Patrick won this award, but now it’s my turn. He will need to work harder if he wants to win it back from me next year,’’ said the 22 year-old with a smile, adding: ‘’In all seriousness, I’m very grateful to be recognised as the ‘Fighter of the Year’. It’s a proud moment for me and I hope the money donated to the Børnecancer Fonden can make a difference in some of the children’s lives.’’ [Click Here To Read More]
