This doesn't sound good. Not a complete surprise, but disappointing....from Dan Rafeal's chat:

    Paul (San Antonio, TX)
Dan, Who's your pick on the Gomez/Soto fight?

Dan Rafael, King Fight Freak (11:45 AM)
I think Gomez, but I am concerned. He blew off the presser yesterday. GB people are really upset with him. One person there told me he was struggling to make weight so who knows? Soto is no joke even if he is older. You overlook him or dont come in shape and he'll get you.

Welcome Dan...What's up with Gomez skipping press conference? Any elaboration? Hopefully Soto has one last dog fight in him.

Dan Rafael, King Fight Freak (12:17 PM)
Golden Boy was PO'd about that. I was told he has having issues making weight and skipped it.

Frankie Gomez (18-0, 13 KOs) says that he had been sick for four days and is likely to come in over the 140-lb limit at today's weigh-in.

Whether it be trouble with the law or eating one too many tacos, Frankie needs to focus in order to exploit his talents in the ring. Sad to see such a promising up and comer throwing away his talent.

Soto is a tough costumer, I can very we'll see him pulling off the upset if Gomez slacks too much.

Dude must've been hanging around Canelo's trainers for too long.
