Comments Thread For: Mayweather Says He'll Give Pacquiao a Rematch

WBC/WBO/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. told ESPN reporter Stephen A. Smith in a text on Tuesday that he would be open to the idea of a rematch after Manny Pacquiao recovers from his scheduled shoulder surgery to repair a tear in his rotator cuff.

"I will fight him in a year after his surgery," Mayweather texted Smith.

There is a lot of controversy following Pacquiao's twelve round decision loss to Mayweather last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The controversy revolves around Pacquiao entering the fight with a pre-existing right shoulder injury and not disclosing that information to the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Of course there's going to be a rematch, Pacquiao only had one arm in the first fight.

Sure, why not. Another easy fight to win for Mayweather.

Hahahahaha. Pacquiao isn't gonna get the same terms. If he didn't like what he had to concede last time, he's not gonna like his concessions this time.

After 6 years of holding out now he wants to fight to him twice because he knows he can win. Classic Mayweather.
