Comments Thread For: Mayweather Sr: Tough To Sell a Pacquiao Rematch

Floyd Mayweather Sr believes it is only once his son has retired that his genius will be truly appreciated.

Mayweather confirmed his status as the finest boxer of his generation and an all-time great by outclassing Manny Pacquiao in an unanimous points victory in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis were among those to acclaim the 38-year-old's technical masterclass, but there were also plenty of dissenting voices led by Oscar De La Hoya who tweeted "Sorry boxing fans".

Mayweather's defensive, counter-punching style is not to everyone's taste but it made Pacquiao - considered the greatest threat yet to his unbeaten record - look ordinary and the eight-weight world champion later complained he had been carrying a shoulder injury.

Oh really, crackhead? ... Pacquiao fought with one arm, WON in the eyes of many PROFESSIONALS (not trolls and drug addicts like yourself). There will be rematch, floyd will be forced to. Nobody is counting the fight as official.

You can keep posting this crap day and night and it will never be TRUE!

Hard to imagine very many people shelling out hard earned cash to watch another one sided fight.

There are a lot of *******s out there that would buy it, idiots. There is only 1 fight worth buying with Floyd again and that's a Cotto rematch. (Or GGG, I'd buy that but it won't happen.) Other than that who cares, he beats anyone clearly. By the way, he'll lose to Cotto in the rematch, trust me.

Floyd wins again in a rematch. Floyd is a bad match up for Manny. Manny likes guys that stand in front of him.

May Sr should be quiet and happy his son won and stop popping off at the lip.
No-one wants a rematch and what negotiating position would Pacquaio have?
80-20 at best.Pac should retire and don't wanna hear about injuries. If you can get in the ring, you can fight.I remember Sergio Martinez was on two busted knees when he fought Cotto, but when he lost, made no mention or excuse of his condition for his defeat. That's class. Ariza and Sr spouting off is just noise.
I predict Ariza will get the azz.Twas only of "value" before Mayweather fought Pacquaio. Now he's not needed or really wasn't according to Sr.
