Comments Thread For: De La Hoya Got Worried When The Rocky Music Hit

Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York - Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya got nervous during the late rounds of Saturday's war between Lucas "La Maqina" Matthysse (37-3, 34 KO's) and "The Siberian Rocky" Ruslan Provodnikov (24-4, 17 KO's). The judges had scores of 115-113 twice for Matthysse and 114-114.

De La Hoya felt Matthysse came out very strong and calm and had full control of the fight as bout entered the late rounds. Not really. When you're working out or engaged in a challenging physical exercise, music inspires. Often when I'm ready to quit my workouts, a song plays that will make me go a little bit longer. I completely understand what De La Hoya is saying here.

Meh, the Rocky 3 song (getting strong now) is much more energizing.

Lol! I do the same whenever 'Tunnel Chase'( Terminator Soundtrack ) comes on my my iPOD when I do my 6 mile daily runs. Or, 'The Punisher' by Rakim. Both are perfect for cardio workouts.
