Former undisputed world middleweight champion Marvelous Marvin Hagler has taken a savage swipe at Floyd Mayweather Junior for lacking class ahead of the American’s welterweight title showdown with Manny Pacquiao on May 2.

Hagler believes the ostentatious Mayweather’s obsession with cash – he calls himself ‘Money’ and frequently photographs himself with symbols of wealth – has no place in the so-called noble sport of pugilism.

The 60-year-old would not be drawn on who he thinks will win the richest fight in boxing history. However, he predicted success for Pacquiao would come only in the first six rounds and favours Mayweather to outlast his opponent in the later stages.

I honestly think some of these old timers are jealous of Floyd. He's taking less punishment, has had greater longevity in the sport, and is making the kind of money these guys can only dream of.

I remember watching a clip of Ray Mancini calling Floyd the modern day Houdini, saying that Floyd was hood winking the fans. In the same clip Mancini said if he were in Floyd's position he'd do the same exact thing... LOL, like WTF?

I didn't see any swipes or jabs anywhere. He gave his opinion rather respectfully IMO.

As far as the "put you to sleep line," people have been saying that for so long that I don't really consider it an insult anymore. The guy has been the #1 draw in the sport for nearly a decade with no endorsements, and the popular opinion (public and professional) that he's a coward, so the excitement must come from somewhere if he's so boring and so hated :/

i actually think manny is going to get hurt bad..he's going to be tired and on the verge of getting stopped..floyd too complete chino wasnt tired for nothing late in the first fight..
