It appears that Manny Pacquiao has aspirations beyond his much-anticipated May 2 fight against Floyd Mayweather.

Promoter Bob Arum told TMZ that when Pacquiao retires from boxing, he plans to run for president of the Philippines.

Pacquiao has experience in Philippines politics and is currently a congressman in his home country, but apparently his political ambitions are even higher.

But every country on the planet has to be smarter when selecting their Presidents and elected officials. The US populace are completely horrible, and incompetent at this endeavour, which is why we have had one smelly turd after another.

The Philippines need a smart, competent, efficient champion of the cause -- Not a former boxer, who spent 90% of his career getting robbed blind by his Promoter and Adviser.
