Comments Thread For: Lee: I Will Come Out Firing From The Start on Quillin!

There could be early fireworks this coming Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. As part of the Premier Boxing Champions card on NBC, Peter Quillin will attempt to regain the world title he vacated when he challenges Andy Lee in the televised co-feature. Junior welterweight champions Danny Garcia and Lamont Peterson will collide in the main event.

Lee captured the title last year with a come from behind knockout of previously undefeated Russian Olympian Matt Korobov. Quillin (31-0, 22 KOs) was initially scheduled to defend his world title against Korobov, but instead he vacated the title to focus on his personal life.

While Lee (34-2, 24KOs) was cautious and boxed in the early rounds with Korobov, he plans to take the fight to Quillin in the early rounds. [Click Here To Read More]

Agreed. It was very naive of Saunders and his team thinking that Lee will beat Quillin.Saunders will have to do it the hard way,not that i've got a problem with that, but it would of been much easier for Saunders against Lee than it will be against Quillin, add to the fact that Saunders is gonna have to travel over the pond, the odds are quickly stacking up against him.

Nothing to worry about. Quillin will win the title and in a few months when the PBC belts are ready he will throw it away again.

Lee will dominate Quillin. Pete has no amateur background, been fed soft his whole career outside of HNN, and now been off a year and dealt a public relations nightmare. Lee's shown that when he's focused he's a great fighter and I expect him dominate the ring generalship in this fight and walk Quillin into traps.

Must be hard knowing that if he wins he gets a big time pay day next.
