There could be early fireworks this coming Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. As part of the Premier Boxing Champions card on NBC, Peter Quillin will attempt to regain the world title he vacated when he challenges Andy Lee in the televised co-feature. Junior welterweight champions Danny Garcia and Lamont Peterson will collide in the main event.
Lee captured the title last year with a come from behind knockout of previously undefeated Russian Olympian Matt Korobov. Quillin (31-0, 22 KOs) was initially scheduled to defend his world title against Korobov, but instead he vacated the title to focus on his personal life.
