Trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. admits he will likely retire after his son, Floyd Mayweather Jr., ends his professional career.
Some wonder whether or not Mayweather Jr. will walk away from boxing after the conclusion of his upcoming fight on May 2nd, when he finally steps in the ring with Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather is reportedly going to make as much as $180 million for the contest. Most fighters don't even earn a fraction of that money in a full career.
Depending on the outcome of the fight, there could be a rematch. There is also the possibility of Mayweather, now 47-0, continuing to fight until he reaches 50-0.
Whether it's this year, or next year, Floyd Sr. will stick around as long as his son does.
