Comments Thread For: Roman Gonzalez Says HBO Deal is For Several Fights

World Boxing Council flyweight champion Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez (42-0, 36KOs)says he's going to make a big impression in his upcoming fight against Edgar Sosa (51-8, 30KOs). For Roman, all roads lead to Los Angeles for his May 16th return at the Inglewood Forum.

It's there where he'll be defending his WBC flyweight championship against Edgar Sosa. He's sharing the card with explosive puncher and WBC interim-middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.

There's also an element of mystery...."We still don’t know where press conference in Mexico will be,” mused Chocolatito´s manager Carlos Blandon.

As long as I don't have to watch on that Nicaraguan TV station's garbage ass feed ever again, I'm happy. You could barely tell the fighters apart. Good for him, he deserves more exposure.

Good news for the lower weights. Exposure for everyone fighting against him and hopefully it brings new interest to those divisions.

With that amazingly good deal with HBO, I really hope Roman steps up his competition... to say the least.

Good. All top P4P fighters deserve to be exposed to a large audience.

He said he'll be training the same place as Golovkin. Wow.

Imagine these two exchanging boxing techniques about their offensive styles. Wow.

Does that mean they're going to start showing other fights in and around the division? They would have to, surely, in order to build interest for Gonzalez's fights? It would be nice to be able to watch Estrada, Segura, Viliora and Inoue with English commentary.
