Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Breaks Down 5/2: Picks Mayweather To Win

Amir Khan believes Floyd Mayweather will win ‘the fight of the century’ against Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas on May 2.

The Bolton fighter was in talks about facing both superstars before they agreed to meet in their welterweight world championship unification fight at the MGM Garden Arena, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Khan told Sky Sports News HQ: “It’s going to be a great fight and I think five years ago it would have been ever better because they were both at their peak and it was a fight that everyone was dying to see.

Khan needs to be at ringside for this one, so he can get in the ring afterwards and call out the winner right to their face.

Khan needs to fight Brook. He needs to earn the fight.

He said Mayweather has never been hit with a good shot.

Damn, I guess he did not see the Mosley fight, or Corley and Judah fights. Just cause he didn't get badly hurt and downed from the hard blows doesn't mean they were not good shots.

He must have missed the second Maidana fight too.

This. Khan can't fight in September and Floyd isn't moving that date. He's never gonna get a shot

Nahh... Khan is hoping that Pacquiao losses so he can fight Mayweather on September. The strategy that he gave like push Mayweather around and look for one big shot is terrible.

Maybe when Guerrero fought him but not Ortiz. When Ortiz fought Berto, Berto was high in the rankings, undefeated and was on the cusp to being a star. I never liked the choice to fight Guerrero by Floyd tbh. That being said, I still think Khan vs Brook makes the most sense. But sense it looks like that won't be happening I'd much rather see Floyd fight the winner of Brook vs Thurman than Khan for a title unification. Maybe Floyd could fight Khan afterwards if he decides to box on past his Showtime deal.
