This opportunity that Jack Culcay (19-1, 10 KOs) has worked for: On May 9, the 2009 amateur boxing world champion will go for a world title in the pros! He goes for the interim version of the World Boxing Association's junior middleweight title against Maurice Weaver (21-1, 8 KOs). The fight takes place on undercard of Felix Sturm's showdown with Fedor Chudinov.

Jack Culcay looking forward to the big opportunity: "This is the next big step for me. By winning the world title, I want to show that I'm ready for the big guns in junior middleweight!

Sad that WBA has fallen so low to put such sad fight on for an interim title belt. Weber isn't even ranked in the top 125 at junior middleweight by boxrec. Why don't the whores just bring Mike "KO'd in one" Miranda back for another "title fight"

I feared that this would happen. Neither Culcay nor Weber deserves that title, not even the interim version. Culcay should stay with a coach for a longer time, that would help him. Wegner is his eigth coach in his pro career. Culcay hasn't stayed longer than two fights in a row with a coach lately.
