  • Comments Thread For: Nonito Donaire Really Squeezing Down To Make Weight

Five division world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire, who has problems making the weight for his North American Boxing Federation super bantamweight title fight against Brazil’s William Prado, is reportedly getting tired as a result of his rigorous efforts to trim down from around 132 pounds.

Donaire’s father/trainer “Dodong” Donaire told BoxingScene.com/News Standard/Viva Sports that Nonito was “getting tired making the weight” although he worked out at the ALA Gym and ran around the oval in the complex.

keeps coming forward like a bull and throws a lot of punches
Back to fighting tailor-made opponents at a lower weight class for Nonito. Good for him!

A bigger fighter up against a smaller opponent that comes to fight it's a no-brainer.

This should result in him getting KTFO again and complaining about a third shoulder somewhere on his body we can't see that is sprained or broken.

Looks like 130 which might not be a good look.

Dude, this is pathetic even for you. Nonito cried after both his losses, the last time it was the BS shoulder excuse that the crowd even booed.

I don't know why he didn't just stay at 126. Walters is just the better fighter but I thought Nonito looked good up until the 3rd round when he got hurt. I think he could have given guys like GRJ and Mares all they could handle.
