Lets see if he has anything left he could very still. A couple tune ups and then a rematch wit juan diaz sounds good.

Bad idea. First real fighter he faces will make him quit. I like Freitas, but he should stay retired.

He should have used the momentum from his last fight because he was surprisingly good as a Welterweight/Junior Middleweight against Oliveira which I did not expect. He was fast, hit hard, and had good foot movement in that fight.

I would think that a boxer making the decision to retire, has to be about the most difficult thing to do. Especially for a former champion. There has to be a compelling reason to give it all up, like old age or many consecutive losses. Freitas was only 31 when he retired, but he will be 40 this year. He's only lost twice, but he's fought just once in 8 years. I think it's too late to come back now, but hey, Big George Foreman did it after being away for 10 years. He was 38 when he came back.

was a fan of his action style. in and out lots of movement, had a good punch. would enjoy seeing him in there with juan diaz again. good for him but at 40, hope his legs still have some life into them. this guy was a grasshopper in the ring.

Freitas lost two fights -- to Juan Diaz and Chico Corrales. Those were the two best opponents that he ever fought -- and he quit (Victor Ortiz style) against both after taking a beating.

Maybe he blew through all of his money or maybe he thinks he can do in Brazil what Mayweather did in the U.S. since he was very popular in Brazil. Either way, I expect him to quit again at the first sign of adversity.
