The current buyrate mark is 2.48 million for the 2007 bout between Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya. The revenue mark was set with Mayweather's 2013 bout against Saul Alvarez, which grossed $155 million.

It's quite big here in the UK, but no where near as much as in the US.

Don't under estimate the Philippines and Mexico combined it will be as big as in the US. Even the great rivals Barrera and Morales became friends to support Pacquiao, that's how big it is around the world. Rebels in Mindanao will have armistice and stop fighting to watch the fight, zero crime in Manila the whole country will be the most peaceful around the world.

Yes it is. As they were showing the press conference, Telemundo(spanish network) had a podium setup just like nba halftime shows. Its a big deal. Never has Telemundo stopped their regular scheduled programs for a live sports press conference. Telemundo broadcasts to all of America to Central america even to some parts of Canada. Big deal.
