Wilder is one of the worst major title holders in recent memory. Uncle Al is going to try and keep him away from any tough challenges for the foreseeable future. If Wilder fights Fury, Klitschko, Povetkin, Joshua in the near future he's going to get KO'd. I'd even go as far to say young Joseph Parker RIGHT NOW would KO Wilder. I would like to see Povetkin become Wilder's mandatory so it forces Al's hand to either vacate, fight Povetkin or go for a cashout unification against Klitschko.

More like "bum squad", as in Wilder's future opponents and entire handpicked resume.

Wouldn't surprise me if his first defense was against either Evander Holyfield, Rid**** Bowe or Razor Ruddock. Don King was even taking about getting Mike Tyson out of retirement.

never understood all the hate deontay gets on this board. I agree hes a vulnerable champ but he did earn the title with a legit win and he at least does seem eager to wanna take on the best ( fury and wlad) atho his management likely feels otherwise. why take it out on him tho? he hasn't done or said anything that I would deem unworthy of a champion

He's a good guy. Hopefully he doesn't come unstuck in his easy'ish money making defences before the Povetkin mando or Klitschko fight comes around.
