  • Comments Thread For: Egor Mekhontsev-Yusaf Mack in Play For March 14th

2012 London light heavyweight gold medalist Egor Mekhontsev (7-0, 6 KOs) will most probably meet his toughest career opponent on March 14 at the Civic Auditorium in Glendale, California.

“We’re still making a decision regarding Egor’s next opponent on March 14," said his manager Vadim Kornilov to R-Sport. “A decision will be made in several days, but the chances are high that he will face Yusaf Mack. We’re presently negotiating with Team Mack. The fight – if ever – will be scheduled for eight rounds, and it’ll be a regular, non-title collision."

Mekhonstev is a big talent, I got high hopes for him. He was a better amateur than Kovalev and Beterbiev.

Poor Mack, this looks like a good sign of them moving Egor along now, this is a name/washed up guy so better than the cans he's been going against.

What?! Mack said he retired, that's not good.
