Ward is waiting for that Marquez type fight like floyd did when he came back from "retiring" ward just didnt announce it. Easy fight that brings him back to the top instantly, and Froch might be it in Wembley. Judging from how he defeated him in there first fight he should win in about the same fashion. Its smart sure but man... nobody respects that, same with Floyd, he didnt challenege himself.

If it goes to purse bids, he may only be entitled to 25% because he's only the "regular" champion.

I checked that out and Ward would indeed be entitled to 75% of the purse.

If he won't negotiate on that the fight won't happen. A 50/50 split would still be Andre's biggest pay cheque by far, so if he really thinks it would be an easy fight for him, he'd be crazy not to take up Froch's challenge without going to purse bids.
