Carl Frampton retained his IBF super-bantamweight title with an impressive fifth-round stoppage of mandatory challenger Chris Avalos at a raucous Odyssey Arena in Belfast.

The Northern Irishman was making the first defence of the world crown he won by defeating Kiko Martinez last September and he did not disappoint his vocal home fans on Saturday night.

Frampton looked good last night, I'd love to see him smash quigg!! Then fight rigo, it would be a closer fight than most think. I'm a big rigo fan, in fact I'm just a boxing nut. Just joined here yesterday as its never let me before. Can't wait for tête-butler on Friday.

He did whatever he wanted. Inside, outside, body, head, it was easy.

Frampton sure looked really good. He has made me a fan in the past couple of years. Hell, he even pulls that Rigondeaux- like shadowboxing before he unleashes his combinations - which he shows you before he throws them

He is very fast, throws combinations with bad intensions and has a solid pop in his punch. What's not to like!!! Plus he looks like a schoolboy. Kinda like GGG in a small package.

Fist Quigg and then Rigo. That is goingto be a good fight. Rigo takes it, though.

PS. Getting real tired of Rigo not getting meaningful fights. Only top guy in the division - or near it - that wants him is Carl. Big balls, he obvoiusly has also!
