Comments Thread For: Crawford-Dulorme for WBO title at 140; Algieri gets next

The April 18 bout between lightweight champion Terence Crawford and junior-welterweight contender Thomas Dulorme will be for the vacant World Boxing Organization title at 140 pounds, according to a tweet from Jose R. Izquierdo II, the WBO’s general secretary.

The winner must face Chris Algieri next.

Algieri previouslt held the WBO belt after his June 2014 split decision win over Ruslan Provodnikov. He was forced to give it up when he moved to welterweight and challenged Manny Pacquiao for Pacquiao’s WBO title at 147 later in the year.

    Good fight.

Glad Algerie gets a chance to win his belt back after this.

Some interesting matchups. Too bad Crawford-Algieri isn't next.

Meh. I'll pass on this one and just catch the highlights. Not interested in watching Dulorme again after that sh|tty Karim Mayfield fight. Crawford vs Algieri is intriguing tho

Algieri should be the one fighting Crawford instead of Dulorme... Too bad he priced himself out, dumb move.

Not a surprise. WBO always granting title shots to Ricans even when they don't deserve it. Remember Orlando Cruz contra Salido and what about R. Martinez against same Salido despite Roman not having any relevant fight since losing to Mikey Garcia in 2013.
