Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Manager: Mayweather Fight is Just a Fantasy

For several months, WBA/IBO/WBA-interim middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (32-0, 29KOs) has discussed the idea of moving down in weight to 154-pounds for a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs), who holds the WBC/WBA junior middleweight titles at the weight.

The boxer's manager, Max Hermann, says a fight with Mayweather is not realistic. It's just a fantasy dream for his boxer that will never come true. Golovkin is focused in unifying the division and wants the winner of the April fight between IBF middleweight champion Andy Lee and challenger Peter Quillin.

This was a fantasy fight right from the outset, 147 pounder vs 160 pounder? WTF!

Floyd's fought at 154 before and Golovkin has had over a pound to spare in his last couple of fights at 160 so should be able to make it no problem, Mayweather would never take that fight though far to dangerous and for once I don't blame him he would get murdered.

first off does anyone kno who is doing the broadcast/network scoring for maypac??
i really dont believe lampley/lederman/ or merchant should be calling this fight ...we dont need bias stuff going on...that isnt what i want to remember about this fight..

but for those saying floyd gets murdered by GGG...first off do u know if ggg is clean? guess wat he'd have no choice to but to be clean bc of usada...he'd be fightin at 154, and its not a big deal bc he's offered that right? floyd might even see fit to bring him down more...floyd would be far superior in the speed department and triple g fights one way and one way only..i really think floyd would pull off history in the eyes of fans that have been blinded by ggg opponent selection...but w/e
SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER THAT FIRST QUESTION IF U KNOW IT
