Comments Thread For: Andy Lee: It's Inevitable That Me and Golovkin Fight

Gennady Golovkin’s dominant eleventh-round TKO win over Martin Murray on Saturday night lifted him to 32-0 (29), but it has made him an even more fearful proposition for the other 160lb title-holders and contenders. Miguel Cotto (WBC) and Andy Lee (WBO) would offer him unification options—Jermain Taylor’s former IBF title is up in the air due to his recent personal woes—and Lee has already popped his head over the pa****t by stating his intention to meet the Kazakhstan-based boxer.

Good fight and gives GGG a chance to get the WBO strap, which brings him one step closer to unifying and moving up.

I hope so but let's see if DiBella will let it happen now that he takes orders from Haymon.

Booth could come up with a decent game plan, I just dont think Lee would be the one to execute it. He'd have the power to back up GGG if Murray could, but I get the impression Murray's chin is better and is physically stronger than Lee.

Winner has to fight Saunders next , who claims it was in step aside contract that he gets the winner next.

          If it's not then it's saunders's fault.

I don't think lee makes it past quillin, but we'll see. We'll also see if Lou lets him fight or just pulls up some b.s to unify with Jacobs next

Gotta hand it to Andy. Dude had big brass ones.

Cotto needs to fight one of these two guys or dump the MW titles.

At least Lee is willing to fight GGG. Quillin is a maricon!

If you think Murry was tough. Lee will bring it.! I wanna see it.

Only possible loophole is that unifications supersede mandatories but i can't see Lee passing up on an all UK, all Gypsy showdown and massive payday to go after Golovkin first. Saunders is a winnable fight too.

Well there's a good chance of that and since Quillin can't fight going forward and is most effective when utilizing his size advantage letting his opponents come to him so he can time or counter them walking in there's a good chance Lee can win rounds boxing too. Lee's will have a noticeably size advantage and a quite good when boxing from the outside.
