He ran against freaking Ishe Smith for goodness sake! I just can't with Lara anymore. He's too willing to give up ground, absolutely infuriating.

Yeah that's the problem with Lara is he pretty much relies on his basic 1-2, the circles for a while, 1-2, circles, repeat. Doesn't have much of an arsenal and doesn't let his hands go. He May have been able to beat Canelo if he would follow up on the shots he did land but he just gave rounds away from not throwing. And Canelo is a true boxer puncher, he's not really a pressure fighter. GGG is relentless.

I voted wrong, for some reason I thought it was how many rounds would Lara survive lol.

The American Dream would be Golovkin's worst nightmare. Lara wins 8-4.

Please man. Lara has skills but he also has probably the most overrated resume in history. His best win is Austin Trout, who let's be honest isn't really that good, and a debatable loss to Canelo (which personally I scored a draw). Other than that he struggled mightily with Alfredo Angulo, drew with Vanes Martirosyan, got a gift of a draw to Carlos Molina, I'll say he beat Paul Williams (although a shot one) and his other "big" wins are against Ishe Smith, Freddy Hernandez and Ronald Hearns.

I don't think GGG has faced the stiffest competition but it is at least even if not better than Lara's. Murray imo was twice robbed of being champion. Geale was a two time champion and legit unified champion at one point. Rubio is a solid guy who could just never make it at the top level. Then there's Proska, Rosado, Macklin and Stevens who are on par with anyone Lara actually beat other than Trout.

We won't get Lara/Golovkin due to Haymon/HBO, but it looks like we might get a half-cuban southpaw instead. Willie Monroe was on the short list for May and he's talking up the fight on twitter.
