Comments Thread For: Lee Purdy Forced To Retire Due To Left Eye Vision Loss

Former British welterweight champion Lee Purdy has been forced to retire after losing vision in his left eye.

Purdy was hurt in a defeat to Leonard Bundu in December 2013.

He has had a number of operations but still has problems and he has decided to hang up his gloves.

His biggest fight was in 2013 when he stepped in for Kell Brook to fight Devon Alexander, and lasted seven rounds.
