The fight appears to be closer than ever. The super match, Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao, could be announced as early as this week.

Pacquioa's trainer, Freddie Roach, has already begun the early scouting of sparring partners and he's also starting to study some of Mayweather's recent fights.

The last time Roach was starting to put together a training camp to fight Mayweather was in 2009/2010, when the two sides were almost close to a finalized deal.

I doubt the paid off ref will deduct point from Fraud for these deliberate and blatant fouls.

roach should let pacquiao do the strategizing, like he did for marquez IV, sure he made a mistake, but pacquiao knows his boxing

Somewhere in this strategy Roach needs to implement a jab after combinations are thrown. DLH and Cotto seemed to have succes early on with it when they both fought Floyd and for whatever reason they abandoned it.

naw.. roach needs to be strict. stop letting pac do what he wants. theres a reason why pac is the fighter and roach is the trainer. pac's downfall is roach being too nice. they need to go back to the basic.

pac has been playing basketball, going out of town for his other job, etc all during training camp. and when the reporter asked roach about it, he goes well i dont really like that but manny is manny so he'll do what he wants, etc. roach is not putting his foot down, he needs to let manny knows that when its training time then thats what manny needs to stick too.

i dont like roach's way of thinking. sure floyd is not the same fighter he was 5-6 years ago, but that doesnt mean u ignored all his other tools that he once shown. concentrate more on the newer stuff but work on the old stuff also.

They didn't abandon it...Floyd took it away by firing over the top of it.
