LOS ANGELES - Time is running out for Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather to book a May 2 showdown, Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach said Tuesday.

"We are getting really close," Roach said of reaching a cut-off for declaring a May 2 fight a reality. "I need eight weeks. That window is getting smaller and smaller."

Mayweather already started training last month while pac is still waiting for confirmation. Floyd will announce this april to give pac 1 month training.

Freddie would rather see a fighter getting knocked out trying to win than just doing enough to win a decision? Are you serious?

I would rather have all of my faculties, stay undefeated, and make an insane amount of money than get knocked out just to entertain the fans!

Those same fans wanting to see blood and guts every time are the same ones who will call for your retirement once you lose a couple of fights trying to "entertain" them. Then they'll move onto the next action fighter and forget all about you.
