Boxing fans learned about Dewey Bozella when he was set to make his pro debut, a 52-year-old man stepping into the ring after serving 26 years in prison for a murder he did not actually commit.

Bozella sued a county in Upstate New York after his release, seeking $25 million. That lawsuit has been settled, with the county agreeing to pay Bozella $7.5 million, according to the Associated Press.

Compensated? that is a weak money settlement, half of that will go to his lawyers, and the government will take a huge percent tax out of what is left.

This guy won't even be left with much.

The man was accused of something he didn't do spent his life in prison while being innocent and they give him $7.5 million which will probably wind up at $500,000 when its all said and done.

I seen some false accusing women get paid millions upon millions while the accused like Dewey get paid crap.

Look at that one high school player who was accused of **** and was locked up and his dreams of football destroyed only for the teen girl who falsely accused him of **** came out and said she lied and only did it because her mother told her they can make millions from the district and they got millions and she squandered it away and lives in an apartment.

          Its BS.

My thoughts too. To me he shouldn't have to pay any taxes from that imo, that sucks, hopefully his lawyers take a bit less in order to help him out, but should have got atleast 10 million for this suit though imo.
