And getting back to Broner, I will say this, if he matures and focuses entirely on boxing and not all the other distractions he has been caught up in, the best may be yet to come for him. A mature, focused Broner is a handful for anyone at 140. It remains to be seen if he can become these things.

No announcement yet.
Lewis/Wlad/Hopkins all came back from defeats. So why doubting Broner?

And going back to Broner, he is not a bad fighter and can still be champ but he is not as good as the original hype lauded him to be, and not as bad as some people claim he is. It is what it is.
Your opinion is that Oscar brought the ring.
My opinion is that OSCAR didn't.
Who really cares? Does Oscar buying the Ring get you a 'nicer car'? Does it?
Does it? No. Who cares bro.

I'll just leave this here.
The magazine is currently owned by Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Enterprises.

Someone seems confused about the difference between opinion and fact.

I can go to Wikipedia right now and write out gibberish. Wanna see me do it?
Give me CONCRETE fact, not some opinion website like Wiki.

Back to Broner. Are you willing to admit that the only way Broner can be fully successful is if he drops all the outside of ring behavior and antics? Your answer will show if you are a fan or a Broner fanboy. Broner's problem is that he thought he was already this superstar instead of a fighter who has to live a dedicated boxing life to become a superstar. He sat on his laurels and thought he was already about billions and read the comparisons to Floyd and the next big thing.
The problem is that is what keeps a fighter from striving, because they already think they are there when they are not; that they just have to show up. It happens to many fighters. But he was living the superstar lifestyle before actually being a superstar and that can or has become his achilles heel.
It's not about coming back from a loss, it is about where performance meets hype and how he aligns with the obvious lowered expectations that he found himself in when the bubble burst. A little too hard to overlook the PDL, Quinona, Pauli, and Maidana fights and exalt him to some status that those fights don't indicate he has reached.Last edited by richardt; 02-16-2015, 12:39 AM.

Duran partied and killed horses and still managed to become an ATG.
Leonard was partying like crazy.
Lewis was partying too.
Man they all drank and lived it up and all champs.
Broner needs to BE HIMSELF. THAT'S WHAT'S WRONG WITH SOCIETY TODAY. THEY MAKING YOU NOT BE YOURSELF.
Broner needs to just be himself. Maidana didn't expose Broner.
Maidana was a styles nightmare for Broner.
Frazier whooped on Ali. Is Ali 'bad'? Frazier and Maidana are the same as Broner and Ali.
Broner and Ali>than Frazier and Maidana but styles make fights.

People brag about Broner's loss because he worked his image similar to that of Mayweather's(Undefeated, Flashy, Money first)
So naturally when he lost, people used it as a sort of "In your face" moment. He can and will definately bounce back, and he doesn't need to do anything but keep being himself.
Broner is still entertaining regardless of a loss and hardly takes away from his luster.
