Comments Thread For: Klitschko on Facing Deontay Wilder: We Have To Do It!

According to IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (63-3, 53KOs), a unification with newly crowned WBC champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KOs) is a logical fight in the near future.

On April 25th at New York's Madison Square Garden, Klitschko will return to the ring in the United States for the first since 2008. He will defend his arsenal of titles against unbeaten challenger Bryant Jennings (19-0, 10KOs).

Wilder, who captured the title last month with a big win over Bermane Stiverne, is looking to make his first defense in the summer.

That's what the fans want as well wlad!! That would be a bug fight, possibly ppv. I'd shell out 60 bucks to see that fight.

The problem is that wilder is signed to al haymon who advises his fighters to either duck the best competition, vacate their belts, or fight good opposition buy not lut the belts on the line. Haymon is a cancer to the sport for all that hes done. Hes starting to make some o.k. Fights now on his new pbc, but again he screws it all up by having Garcia vs. Peterson a non unification fight. Peterson should already nit have a belt since he got KO'd by mathysse so he is a paper champ anyway. But this is just another slap in the face to the fans. So if Peterson loses again that would be two fights hes lost yet gets to keep the belt. Pathetic. Hes advising his fighters to ruin their legacies.

Lets hope wilder is brave and not a chicken like Floyd mayweather and Peter quillen and Danny Garcia and Santa Cruz and Adonis Stevenson and other hYmon fighters. Hopefully he will stand up to haymon and demand he lets him try to unify all the titles in a fight with klitschko. He may lose, but he would garner more respect than he would for fighting tomato cans and winning. He has a chance to beat wlad. Wlad has been known to have somewhat of a glass chin I. The past. The hard part is finding it. Wilder might have a chance to find it, and he certainly has the power. Its a small chance but worth the attempt.

Wladimir knows that a fight with Wilder in the US would be huge. A complete sell out of Madison Square Garden with millions of PPV buys around the world.

Wlad can't be wasting his time on a bum like Fury. His focus now is on Jennings and then after Jennings he wants to unify the belts against Wilder

Wlad tends to change his mind a lot, was only a week ago he wanted to face shannon briggs after jennings
Probably figured he wanted a soft touch and give Briggs some money since his Brother beat the crap out of him all those years ago
