Former champion Guillermo "Felino" Jones, 42-years-old, of Panama has sent a letter to the World Boxing Association (WBA), asking the sanctioning body to reconsider their two-year suspension after Jones tested positive for a banned diuretic prior to his canceled rematch with Denis Lebedev in April 2014. It was the second where Jones tested positive for the weight cutting agent. He came up positive for a diuretic after knocking out Lebedev in their 2013 encounter.

I want to say he might have a case...he is a black man going into russia kick the fan favorite ass...russia, germany, and england does not seem to approve of that..remember this is an undefeated fighter that he busted up..he was tested by a russian commission both times...and ever more over he's never tested positive in any other fights...

i'd look for a 2nd opinion..it would be very disheartening to fighter if he knows he is clean for orgs to do that...and its a shame we back organizations more than we do ppl who take shots and give them out...

The fact that Guillermo wants to campaign at HW tells you that he can't make CW without help of diuretics. What a lying, cheating bum. The guys from Russia did not even take or handle the second fight tests so i don't know why you are bringing that up. It was done in a neutral lab in Switzerland called the LAD or the Swiss Laboratory For Doping Analyses. The WBA, which is based in Panama , Guillermo Jones back yard supervised the outcomes and broke the news to the promoters that Jones had failed the test.

Jones was not tested by the Russian commission in the second fight. False info. He was tested by a neutral lab in Switzerland called the LAD or the Swiss Laboratory For Doping Analyses, and the WBA who are based in Panama, Jones home country broke the news that his test was dirty to the promoters just about a hour before the fighters were due in the ring.
