Deontay Wilder’s brilliant acquisition of the WBC heavyweight championship makes heavyweight boxing a whole new brawl game, both in the ring and outside the ropes.

The lopsided victory of the charismatic clouter from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, over holder Bermane Stiverne not only brings an long-awaited American renaissance for the sport’s flagship division but cements the emergence of a new behind-the-scenes power-broker in world boxing.

One Al Haymon, a multi-millionaire mogul from the music industry, is near to becoming American boxing’s Mr Big. Is he the new Don King?

Doubt it. Wilder doesn't have much of a profile in the UK yet, and Fury, despite his heritage, is not a big ticket seller: the Fury-Chisora rematch was doing sluggish ticket sales before Eubank-Saunders got announced, and I hear they're not exactly flying off the shelves for the Hammer fight (the fight is garbage and hordes of Fury's fans behaved shamefully at the ExCel: strong-arming their way into people's seats, to name one misdemeanor, so Joe Public will likely avoid attending his bouts from now on). Wilder and Fury will sell the fight hard, but it's not easy to do a stadium fight in Britain, that's why there's been so few of them. I doubt very much it would be as big as Haye-Chisora was.

I doubt Wilder vs. Fury packs any Stadium just yet. Thats why i dont think it will happen this year. Fight needs more time and the fighters more exposure.
It makes no financial sence yet LOL.

I'd love to see this fight.

It would sell out any stadium in the UK.
