  • Comments Thread For: Hopkins: Don't Sleep on Pascal, He Can Beat Kovalev

Former champion Bernard Hopkins is giving Jean Pascal (29-2-1, 17KOs) a good shot at pulling off the upset on March 14th, when he challenges WBO/IBF/WBA light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (26-0-1, 23KOs) at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Hopkins fought Pascal to a controversial twelve round draw in 2010 and then won a twelve round decision in their 2011 rematch. Last November, Hopkins was dominated over twelve rounds by Kovalev.

Sure, Pascal can beat Sergey, but what is the likelihood of that happening? I say not much.

I totally agree with Hopkins. What he said is right : He doesn't box the same way he used to do.. But he forgot to mention why ? Because he's now training with Roy Jones! And he also has Arthur Betherbiev as training partneir.. you know that guy ? The one who beats Kovalev... TWICE in amateur. Pascal by UD

I think Pascal is going to put up a great fight early and then he is going to caught and get really hurt.

Pascal don't got what it takes to beat kovalev but I'll be rooting for him.

I'm sorry, I'm kind of sleeping on him. He has mediocre defense, low output, and bad stamina. It'd be a huge upset in my eyes if Pascal won.
