  • Comments Thread For: Fury: Wilder Must Get KO in Four or Stiverne Beats Him

Undefeated EBU/British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will be keeping a close eye on next Saturday's heavyweight fight between WBC champion Bermane Stiverne and unbeaten mandatory challenger Deontay Wilder, which takes place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Wilder has easily stopped all 32 of his opponents in four rounds. Fury is picking Wilder to win by knockout in four - but if Stiverne survives the early storm and is able to make to past four, then Fury is picking the champion to retain his world title.

For the first time I agree but also disagree. The fact remains Wilder is unknown past 4 but who is to say he can't make 12. He is a patient fight, although wild at times and has the real decision maker.

All I can think is, those legs gotta be skinny for a reason!

Wilder is getting carried out on a stretcher on the 17th.

well, I think his prediction was right on and id give fury a great chance against either guy as long as he doesn't clown around like he did with Cunningham. fury is actually quite savvy for his lack of experience and has a clever awckwardness to him

Stiverne just has to make it uncomfortable. Jab and get inside and stay under those long ass arms. When he's inside he just needs to pepper the body, **** **** ****, and don't let Wilder get comfy. Set up inside and unload on the step out.

First time I've actually heard Fury compliment other heavyweights.

Fury has the right idea. If Stiverne takes Wilder's best punches and is still standing after the 4th round, it's not going to look so good for the Alabama man.

But in HW division anything is possible. We might even see a Wilder who boxes Stiverne for the first half of the fight, wears him down, and catches him cold when he slows down.

Most of BoxingScene seems to think that Stiverne will outsmart him and catch him with a counter in the early or mid rounds.

I think Mark Breland has prepared Wilder for this challenge and we'll see some new moves from Wilder on the 17th.

                    Isn't Steverne kinda old?

I dunno if he does that well late into rounds either.
