Comments Thread For: Uchiyama Returns, Forces Perez To Quit After Nine

The co-author of traditional New Year’s Eve shows in Japan, unbeaten Takashi Uchiyama once again ended a boxing year on a high note. Yup, Australia was the butt of most boxing jokes in terms of nations getting run over this year, but Argentina was massacred at the top level.

Perez was never more than a cupcake set up for Uchiyama to get in a few rounds. He did nothing to earn the title shot and has never beaten anyone. Would like to see Uchiyama stop ****ing around with fights like this and take on another beltholder before he retires

Well, at-least Chavez somehow got a draw against Bradley.

Yep dude is for me a damn good fighter but this has been another piss poor defense. Javier Fortuna would be a decentish fight and holds the wba interim belt

Perez actually gave a solid effort despite being an unknown but he fell before the onslaught that was beatdown in the end.

Perez was not bad, but Uchiyama is a class above him.
