Comments Thread For: Kohei Kono, Norberto Jimenez Fight To 12-Round Draw

Kohei Kono barely held on to his portion of the 115 lb. crown, as the resurgent titlist fought Dominican Republic's Norberto Jimenez to a 12-round draw Wednesday evening at Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.

Scores were 115-112 Kono, 116-111 Jimenez and 114-114 even in a bout that is due to air via same-day tape-delay on TV Tokyo in Japan. [Click Here To Read More]

This wasn't one for the archives not a very clean fight draw seemed fair even score was interesting due to point deduction must of been an even round somewhere.

Japan is probably the fairest place to get a decision for away fighters.

Kono doesn't have a long run which isn't surprising he's kind of a mid-level type guy to begin with both guys are actually they had 8 losses a piece and not all were good losses.

Jimenez resume is really bad and to think how he started his career does say something about the guy.
