    No!

But the point is, it may aswell be considered a ''welterweight win''

Basically Tony being 3 pounds heavier at the weigh in doesn't change the fact he beats the fighters rated at WW in 2010.

If he had fought him at WW it would be the same result against a top WW who would beat most top WWs.

So it's really just nitpicking on your part. But technically I guess you're right.

No it may not, since it was fought at light middleweight.

Pretty good thread. Hard to choose. Most consistent is floyd. But Oscar, Shane, Tito all have a claim. Ali mentioned Curry, not sure if he has the resume though. Truth is I'm not even sure. None of them have been dominant.

          Oh.

So that changes who Margarito was? Pound for pound he's the same fighter

Weighing in 3 pounds higher made Margarito worse than all those mentioned on the 2010 WW rankings?

No. but it changes the weight the fight was fought at, which was light middleweight and not welterweight? I mean, it isn't really hard to understand.

              So the point is moot!

Does the weight disadvantage him? No.

The version of Curry that beat Colin Jones and Milton McCrory would destroy any version of Floyd.

That's not the point though is it? If it doesn't make a difference, why have weightclasses altogether?

What's the difference between featherweight and superfeather? Or superfeather and lightweight? Or Lightweight and Lightwelterweight? It's 4-5 pounds yet it makes a massive difference.

the fact of the matter is that the fight was fought at Lightmiddleweight and Pacquiao gets credit for winning a vacant belt at lmw, so obviously he can't get credit at ww at the same time.

So does Toney beat many WW in the 2010 rankings or not?

Jesus, the fight wasn't fought at WW. I don't give a monkeys where each fighter fought previously.

This will be my last post on this issue.
