Sauerland Event has revealed that promoter Mick Hennessey, who handles Tyson Fury (21-0, 15KOs), is not interested in going forward with an ordered fight against EBU heavyweight champion Kubrat Pulev (17-0, 9KOs). The two sides had until June 1 to reach a deal or an EBU purse bid would go forward. Hennessey was not interested in taking part in the purse bid. Fury-Pulev was also an IBF final eliminator, with the winner becoming the mandatory challenger to the October 5th match between unified king Wladimir Klitschko and challenger Alexander Povetkin.

And he is going to keep on ducking him in 2015 too. He's as good as dead against the Cobra
Carl Froch is the real cobra. Pulev is an absolute bum.

Fury has a big mouth, but doesn't back up his words.

And Fury has also ducked Pulev and Ustinov.
I think Fury's team recognized that he wasn't ready for Klitschko at that point in his career; he was also chasing a big money fight with David Haye.

For me the jury's still out on Tyson Fury. I had big hopes for him after he 'rededicated' himself to the sport a couple years ago. He's looked decent at times but also average as well. Fury looked very flat and uninspired in his last fight against Chisora.

I'm hoping Fury will face a tough credible opponent for his February fight. Someone like Wach, Ustinov, Tarver or Lucas Browne would be great.

That's the fight i've been wanting for a year now.Browne is a good fighter no matter what anyone says.Browne would be a great test for Fury,i also believe Ricky Hatton wants that fight aswell, browne even said so himself.

And Ricky did a deal with Boxnation,so it makes perfect sense.

Scott, do you really believe that Peter Fury, who is a careful, cautious type of guy and the manager/trainer of 4 heavyweight boxers, would not have known everything he needed to know about Alexander Ustinov BEFORE selecting him as a sub for Chisora?

Do you guys seriously believe that Tyson Fury, a top 10 ranked professional boxer, looked at Alexander Ustinov at the weigh in and went ... "Uncle Peter ... Uncle Peter ... he's like, really big and scary ... get me out of this ... PLEASE Uncle Peter .."

And Scott, Tyson was actually talking about those conspiracy theories at the weigh in itself, not after he pulled out. Clearly, he was trying to talk up Ustinov and inject a bit of drama and intrigue into the situation so that fans who had bought tickets would want to watch the fight instead of asking for their money back, which was an option Frank Warren had given them.

Regarding the illness of Peter Fury's brother, who was Tyson's former trainer. He had been in hospital for a while. It may have been a week, I'm not sure about that. But on the evening before the fight there were complications after an operation which left him at death's door on a life support machine.

Withdrawing from a fight following the death of a close friend or family member is one thing. Withdrawing so that you can be with them during their final hours is something else.

In my opinion, there's no way on earth Fury was even slightly intimidated by Ustinov, but I do think he should have gone through with the fight.

I have said many times before and have always maintained this.

That said, I like Fury and have always respected his game. He talks big and so far has backed it up, never moreso than he did against Chisora, which in my opinion was his absolute finest showing.

With all that in mind. No way he survives a full 12 round fight on his feet against a boxing master and superior power puncher like Wladimir. I don't care what Steward may have said.

He will be stymied and knocked out if they fight anytime before Wladimir shoots his load.

That was when he was a lot younger than he is now. He spent a lot of time locked up reflecting on the mistakes he made, which is probably why he is so careful and calculating in everything he does and says today. Eg, turning down a fight with Wlad back in 2012, because he knew that Tyson was improving and would have a much better chance of winning if they waited a year or two.

Fury is the biggest Joke in boxing... In my eyes, just a taller, uglier butterbean. He lacks skill and the speed to make his size effective. He has showed quite often that he has a questionable chin and obviously has no want to fight any real competition that equals his size.

I do hope he gets to fight Wlad, so Wlad can knock his a** out.

Fury is a lot more skilled than Butterbean. He's proven to be world class.

Just because he's going to get wiped out by Wlad doesn't mean he's a bum.
