Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Plan B For Khan Might Be Brook at Wembley

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Last December, Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs) was scheduled to face then IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander (26-2, 14KOs).

Khan withdrew from the title opportunity with Alexander to pursue what he believed was a likely fight with WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. in May. Things did not go as expected. Mayweather passed on Khan and instead faced Marcos Maidana.

Solid fight....... I think this is the next logical step for Khan. A Mayweather fight would be a fantasy, beating Alexander proves absolutely NOTHING. AND IF he loses tonight, forget about him for good.

This should be plan A for Amir. He "beat" Diaz along with Collazo at welter, Devon is a step up and Brook would be another step up for a legitimate world title. Than maybe he can call out Pac & Floyd.

Khan has no luck poor guy, I actually think if he's able to beat Alexander convincingly he deserves to fight Floyd and I think he has a chance in that fight too. Better one than Manny does in fact. But Alexander is no joke

Floyd may have put a spanner in the works said he wants Pac may 2nd.
Should Khan struggle tonight even the Brook fight may have the shine taken away.If it pans out this way then maybe khan will have to expose himself to the real threats out there. oh dear !

I genuinely feel bad for Khan, I know how bad he wants to beat Floyd, and I genuinely believe he can give Floyd his first L.

                    But can't complain here,
